Our core $staff works really hard all year under unusual conditions to keep deviantART well-oiled. Unusual circumstances because we're spread out all over the planet, and don't get to hang in person enough! For many new team members this was also the first time we were meeting each other.

So when we get together for the holidays each year... the release valves open up and pent-up energy turns in to hardcore party...

On the Wednesday of our holiday park week, we had a night where VPs and Managers presented their departments' work for the year. It was a jaw-dropping experience for all. Not only the quality and quantity of effort by each group, but the inspiring combined effect of what was actually accomplished in 2011.

In 2012 we want even greater transparency from our team for the community. So much happens in a week that this is an intense task in itself.. so I'm happy to report that in 2011, nearly 40 new people joined the team and are quickly coming up to speed to help deviantART achieve even more for you. More about that soon... but you can rest assured that clean and crisp communication to the community is a continued top priority for us this year.
