On the third day of Groups...

On the third day of our Groups off site, here in Victoria (Vancouver, Canada) - we officially have clarity on the core Groups product.

A lot of activity has led to this, with quick sprint brainy sessions mixed with activities to keep the mind state elevated. At first glance, the project seems much easier architecturally than originally presumed. But there is a lot of work to be done to reach completion.



mccann and randomduck complete the first 50 lines of Groups code. The so called "Gruzer pages" officially have a place within the deviantART privilege system.



Here, the group deliberates the various aspects of the project. These sessions have a foundation in our jump start meeting which established these 5 official chunks to be the entire product: Gruzer Pages, Gruzer Page Modules, Messaging, Group Tools and Integration/Exposure (in to deviantART).

To maintain mind state, we've done some pretty fun stuff too.



Pia and moonbeam13 keep the goodies comin' - I for one am eating wayy better than usual around here. It has been amazing!



pachunka, starvingartist and I have been splitting wood for some good strategic physical activity. The blisters feel less good, but I'm definitely craving the next split.



starvingartist and kemayo pick blackberries from the driveway. The driveway has approximately 10 billion blackberries.



At night, we play the bean game. It's normally called "Bohnanza" but, it's the bean game. And pachunka is a stink bean.


Today we're verifying that use cases presented by ALL OF YOU! (from my deviantART Ideas Folder, to moonbeam13's Groups folder, to suggestions received far and wide) are compatible with the structure we've devised for the product.

After that, we split in to two groups; tech & ui. With the JS/CSS folks toggling between the two.
