Thats' fine with me, I'm not a message pack rat. I'm sure you guys will put a reasonable limit to it :) Saves space and reduces clutter, whats' not to like? :)
:iconwhttigrluvr:
I don't care either way. It's kind of stupid because the users could just turn off the features of receiving journals and other notices from those who they don't pay so much attention to or something. Which would reduce the message center maximum message amounts.

But it would also be nice to have the feature if your the more organized type. If you go for it I say subscribers should get the option to change size limits for the sections while non-subscribers get a default amount or it stays as it is now for them.

"that's like playing chicken with a freight train." ~ me (i haven't heard anyone else say it, so i'll just say me. owo)

I'm totally fine with it for the most part, but I have issues with it in my notes. I keep a lot of my notes, just for the sake of having them, and, well, some are older than a year. I like to be reminded of the content in them, or that they're there (future plans, trips, ideas, etc) so I don't want to sort them.

Also, I'll take this time to comment on the note center layout. Once you have enough folders, you can't see your actual messages without scrolling down, it might be cool to be able to rearrange the message/note center (like your main page) so you have what you want to see first on top.

10k? Sounds fine lol...if someone honestly has that many they're not going to actually go through them anyway.

it doesn't bother me personally, because i've never reached numbers anywhere near that magnitude, total.
:iconavalik:
I've had over 10,000 messages only on one occasion (absent for months) and I ended up ripping my hair out and "select all - delete" anyways. =D

I made my opinion on the time limit on your journal.

Who the FUCK needs to have that many messages in their folder? What's the point of that? Just read them then delete or save! Unless you're a moderator or someone of that status with that many contacts (which most people OBVIOUSLY aren't) there's no reason to have that many..I never keep more than a hundred or so in any of my sites like these because they have a tendency to compile up and I never get the chance to read new ones coming in (because I'm trying to sift through the bullshit and extemporaneous. I'm completely down with the capping if messages because the only members who need that many are moderators and the peeps with Tila Tequila status (the ones who've been on since the early days and have made 100,000+ contacts (true contacts not a bunch of ppl they never message/visit/ and all that good stuff)...

Yeah I think that that should totally be an implemented feature because certain things I want to keep track of; and rearranging my messages/notes to my liking would be great! I nominate that this should be the next work in progress
