First: Thank you for the thousands of notes, in general. It is very difficult to respond to all of them; but I am trying to read as many as possible. Thanks for your caring, and support of deviantART. Won't let you down! To start; here's something we've never done before.. a list of upcoming launches.
We have a number of "big" projects in the works and numerous teams on each. Sometimes our development projects run in to snags that were not expected so they get delayed. This is not a concrete release schedule. Assuming there are no snags, this is what we currently forecast.
Also these are big projects; not minor tweaks and fixes which are often requested by the community. Those are still being done in between the big stuff.
And without further delay; these projects are intended for beta release within the next two months or so. Again, this is not a concrete release schedule.
- Bringing back T-shirts - They've been offline for months now; and the requests in the help desk have piled very high. So, we've created a few new designs and are clearing out some of the older shirts we had. We're trying to get the deviantART green staff hats made at a reasonable cost; those will probably be up soon. Shirts will come with a free dA sticker and will be about twenty bucks.
- Groups - This is the project we're most excited about right now. We're hauling butt to get this released as fast as possible and it is taking up the majority of our tech resources. It's a quick project to implement with very high positive impact on the community; we think you're going to love it. An interface screenshot is due out today.
- Community Marketplace - We're FINALLY close to releasing those 60 some odd artist categories with BandMerch -- deviants have a chance to design the official t-shirt of their favorite band! (Check out the bandmerch roster!)
- NEW Submission Process - 4 steps; print process included. What else needs to be said.
- Basic Print Program - A free version of the print program; everyone can make their artwork available under a program that's similar to the premium print program only a bit more limited.
- Search ALPHA - we're working on this now; but it will take this long to actually launch. Remember, 50 billion dollar companies work on search engines. It's not as easy as some people make it sound like it should be; deviantART's search will be awesome. The team has been tinkering with it; mccann is designing it. And it's fun... searches for "blue" or "green" or "butterfly" or "a$$ pirates" -- they all return really interesting results! Browsing deviantART will never be the same... 14 million art works to search in 700 categories!
- Collections - Remember devpacks? Only, pach's on this one. We're alpha testing this as well; it's the coolest thing I've (personally) ever seen the web do.

Careful, it spits.- Congrats to lemontea who is now a senior member. lemontea most notably has had an immeasurable tenacity, conviction and dedication to the ideas he felt were missing from deviantART. For years now he has fought for those ideas; things like alternating background colors on the friends list and he even asked for the llama. So in #seniors a couple of days ago we pushed a few of his requests through quickly.
