Not so much a visual representation of a site modification, but an interpretation of what deviantART might look like if it had its own channel on the Xbox 360

I think you've already seen this, but here's a link anyway: [link]

I think we need to reach a non-artist audience to improve sales of art work prints. Unless you know your way around dA it can be a bit daunting for peeps to actually browse galleries and buy prints.

I see a glossy magazine featuring dA artists being a great way to make the buying public come to dA to buy.

Initially it could be subscriber-only bi-monthly or 6 monthly production to dA subscribing artists and that would cover printing costs. Then, we take over the world :evillaugh:

A magazine made by the artists, for the artists, and gets people coming to buy. That's my vision.

I am trialing it on my page and inviting other artists to take over sections so it's not just completely done by me.

I'm getting a good response so far. I hope you can do a notice sometime for me, so that more readers come to it. It's not rinky-dinky by any means, but a full-scale production that takes up a ridiculous amount of my time (gladly).

Have a read when you aren't so busy (I know you're always busy but hey).

I would love to talk to you about it sometime, if you recognize how huge this could be. Imagine it sitting in galleries, coffee shops, art supply stores, hotels, universities, etc. High end advertisers like Adobe, Canon, Nikon could be approached at a later stage.

Enough rambling. Let me know what you think sometime!
