I photographed about two dozen people walking by this can not flinching really. Except for this little girl and one other woman. Eventually the police showed up. But I've never seen such a thing.
Speaking to some deviants later and sharing this photo, they said it was common around here.
I love how your street photography improved and you captured this image very well. Your focus and angle are perfectly done and the black and white takes off many distracting parts and gives this image a great nostalgic look. The puzzled look on the child's face, the two ladies who walks past the fire, the name Delikatesy are very well implanted and even the small trees don't look disturbing. I think this is one of the best street photography I've seen so far and hopefully we'll see more of them in the near future. Excellent and magnificent work and I'll give this a very high rating
Lol the other day I went to the beach for a spur of the moment bonfire (even though the beach was "technically" closed at one am)and my friends and I came across a trash can on fire and we were all like "Oh shit!" Most of my friends were just going to leave it at that and walk away but I just shouted "No! We have to put it out!" I filled up a bottle of water and poured it in the bin and put out the fire. I felt so good about myself after that... like I WAS frickin smokey the bear. My friends made fun of me because I was so proud of just pouring water in a trash can but I didn't care =] ...So yes... um in conclusion: there are people who care about fires in trash cans...lol
